"Jared has been a close friend of mine for many years. He has dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community. He not only served our country in the U.S. Army, but he has also been a police officer with the Bethel Police Department for the past eight years. He recently became a K9 unit and works everyday with his partner, Penny. Jared was just recognized as the 2022 Officer of the Year, which is well deserved," said Blumberg.
