Also, Mr. Murrell helps teach some of the life classes provided for the young men. The organization's hands-on approach sets it apart from other programs.
4:13 Strong operates under the simple and powerful belief that every man deserves an opportunity to do great things. Men live on campus during the 6-8 month program. Mr. Murrell and other volunteers are involved in the program's participants' daily lives, creating a safe, supportive environment for them to live and learn. He helps train men on essential life skills, including financial literacy, work readiness, and Bible study.
Mr. Murrell also works with the 40-Day Challenge, which organizes service projects and adventure outings. Men get the vocational training they need to start a new career, with an opportunity for full-time employment and a steady paycheck after completing the 40-Day Challenge. They support men as they work toward saving an emergency fund and buying a car with cash, so they're on their way to financial independence. Equipped with the right job skills and certifications, all men completing the 40-Day Challenge find full-time employment.
With a steady paycheck and a new mindset, the men work toward buying a car with cash and saving an emergency fund. The process gives them the confidence to see the path to standing on their own two feet. To complete the program, men must have:
Once through the program, the young men have Announcement Day, where they announce which company they chose to work for in front of family and friends.
