Mr. Zeltmann actively supports various causes and nonprofit organizations in his community. His passion for serving extends beyond his duties as a firefighter, reflecting his deep commitment to making a positive impact. Some of the causes he supports include:

Fire Prevention and Safety: Mr. Zeltmann has demonstrated the highest degree of commitment and participation in activities within the fire department. He always supports others' efforts to achieve the goals of the fire department and supports department policies. He always goes above and beyond the regular duties of his position to make visible improvements. These improvements have enhanced the fire department's ability to reduce fire losses and serve the community better.

Mr. Zeltmann performs his fire service duties in a manner that exemplifies competency and reflects the highest standards of the fire service. He regularly demonstrates the ability to lead or follow based on the existing circumstances. When he was nominated for Palm Beach County Firefighter of the Year, he received the most nominations for any individual award. He has received nominations from individuals from all four shifts and from individuals he has only worked with occasionally.

Radio Maintenance and Innovation: Mr. Zeltmann has been tasked with maintaining the department's radios for years, and the results have been outstanding. He has been instrumental in keeping the department's communication equipment up-to-date, ensuring seamless communication during emergencies. Moreover, he actively contributes to developing new department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to radio procedures. Mr. Zeltmann goes out of his way to impart as much knowledge and skills as possible to the various probationary firefighters who have rotated through the station.
