Deputy Randy Jones was nominated by Joe Santana of Texas Agency.
Deputy Jones is the epitome of protect and serve. He began his law enforcement career in 1988 with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a State Trooper. He was promoted through the ranks, earning experience in major case investigations, natural disasters, internal affairs, and EEO investigations.
Deputy Jones retired from DPS in August 2017 after being offered a position with the City of Fate. While at the City of Fate, he worked on major cases. He also did work for Lakehill Preparatory School in Dallas and Rockwall Police Department before coming to Heritage Christian Academy in August 2022. Outside of his role, Deputy Jones is an active member of First Baptist Church Rockwall.
"Deputy Jones is the first person on campus, every single day, ensuring we are safe. He oversees student drop-off and pick-up to ensure they run smoothly. He also oversees our campus grounds to make sure every student is safe, at all times," said Santana.
